I was on the WikiScanner (a tool that tracks changes to the Wikipedia) the other night and came across the following page http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/f.php?ip1=83.98.166.31and the user on that IP made the following change

This woman is the most sarcastic person i have ever had to help across the phone. I wish i had recorded it to play back to you all.

It was a comment made about Nell McCafferty. And with a quick search of the Ip address, you will find that the IP range is assigned to Michele Neylon, Blacknight Dedicated Hosting Network. You would think a web host would have better sense and use a proxy to make comments like that.

Did you know that Google Desktop contains a back door? Would you believe me if I said it was XML? Well next time you do a search on Google Desktop, add the following to the end of the results URL “&format=xml” and you will see your results in XML format.

Configuring Windows Vista sidebar RSS

The Vista OS is pretty cool, but one thing I don’t like is not being able to set the RSS feed in the settings for the RSS reader. And after doing a quick search I found out you need to subscribe in Internet Explorer to a feed and it will be displayed in your side bar.

While logged in MySpace.com I was looking at the hits that my profile got. And with so many people around the world using MySpace.com, 104,540,148 on the Your Network counter, I wanted to know where I was getting hits from. MySpace doesn’t allow JavaScript, so I set about finding a new way of finding where in the world these hits are coming from without using JavaScript. Would you believe GIFs is how I did it!
