Adding .flv MIME type in IIS

By default Flash video is not in the MIME type list of Windows IIS because of this IIS doesn’t know how to handle it and Flash videos will not work until you do the following.

Google Desktop XML back door!

Did you know that Google Desktop contains a back door? Would you believe me if I said it was XML? Well next time you do a search on Google Desktop, add the following to the end of the results URL “&format=xml” and you will see your results in XML format.

Configuring Windows Vista sidebar RSS

The Vista OS is pretty cool, but one thing I don’t like is not being able to set the RSS feed in the settings for the RSS reader. And after doing a quick search I found out you need to subscribe in Internet Explorer to a feed and it will be displayed in your side bar.

Grabbing IP Address through GIFs

While logged in MySpace.com I was looking at the hits that my profile got. And with so many people around the world using MySpace.com, 104,540,148 on the Your Network counter, I wanted to know where I was getting hits from. MySpace doesn’t allow JavaScript, so I set about finding a new way of finding where in the world these hits are coming from without using JavaScript. Would you believe GIFs is how I did it!
